Hey All, there's just so darn much to cover in the wide world of blogging. If you've got questions and areas you think I should delve into now, I'd love to hear them.

Yes, I would love to learn more about how to win some quick back links, SEO, and google rankings.

More than that, I would also like to learn how to craft articles to win and keep interest. :)

Because of venue mix up I could hear much of the presentation and I was seven feet away from the speaker.
  • Dave Doolin
I had a great time and met some really cool folks.

Tough to rate on this experience. Attendance seemed good. Unfortunately, the last minute venue change created an immediate problem for the Organizer. While I am sure, the best was done under the circumstances my guess is the reviews will not be positive. Kudos to the organizer for doing the best they could under a challenging situation. Nonetheless, I was able to pull a couple of ideas out of the meeting and I hope to put those to use. I certainly appreciate the effort!

Space was not conductive to networking with other bloggers as music was too load, space too small and bloggers who new each other tended to clique together, leaving newbies standing around solo and not able to meet others. Presenter was good, as was the idea to have this group.

It may have been the last minute change in venue, but it was too loud to really talk to people and network, and even in the small room we were in the back and couldn't hear Dana talk at all through her presentation.
  • James Hipkin
The facility really wasn't conducive to a successful meeting. The presenter couldn't be heard over the din from the bar. Her content was fine for beginners, which may have been the target, but not very interesting if you have any experience as a blogger.

To bad we changed location; an issue with the noise
  • Christopher Pickslay
It was not bad--met some smart people and had some great conversations. Also got some good pointers to useful resources from Dana's talk. But it was really disappointing that we were booted from Minna, as John Collins was a horrible venue. It was hard to hear anything or carry on a conversation, and annoying that they cranked up the music in our area right after the talk. However, I am glad you were able to keep the event from being cancelled.

Great turnout. Friendly people. Good networking. Would have loved to hear a second speaker. Poor sound, but I realize there was a last minute venue change since the group was so large.

I had hope participants would have time to introduce their blogs and exchange links (kind of circle thing) from similar blogs. The lack of facilitation and structure from the organizer's part disappointed me. If his wants this meetup to be successful he needs to give time to the participants to introduce themselves, contribute to the evening and let the other participants know what they need. The presentation from Dana Oshiro would have been nice if people could hear it. The lack of a microphone and the loud music surrounding the space made it impossible. Forget about Q&A. Although Dana did send a power point of her presentation later on. In the end, the event looked like a happy hour! The meetup states as it's purpose to bring "lots of blogging tips and a good blog discussion that can help you improve your blog and bring it to another level". I did not see that happen yesterday. All in all, a disappointment notwithstanding the free drink. But I am willing to give it another try

Lots of great people....venue was too loud to hear speaker or really chat easily. Great information from the speaker. Sponsor was a nice touch...

As the speaker obviously I got alot out of the event, but I also realize that I'm pretty softspoken and without a mic it's tough to capture the attention of those in the back. That being said, there were some great discussions and great people in the room. Given the venue constraints I think it went off pretty well.
  • Paul House
I think it would be good if we could spend 5-10 minutes at the start of the meetup, have everyone say their name and what they blog about so it is easier to network with people who have similar topics and link exchange etc...
