I've been there, I've done the first-time-mom's, group. We're still running strong. But what about my second child? There will be no latte-sipping on luxurious cafe couches while discussing the latest stroller colours and wondering what my hair will look like in the birthing pictures. Nope. I need a support group that can discuss sibling rivalry issues while pushing a swing, covered in peanut butter, with one eye on the sand box.
We'll meet in child-friendly places and talk about all the issues that come up when you have two (or more) and you live in the city. I have a one-year old already but the ages of your children matters less than your due date. My little girl has gotten so much out of my first mom's group, I wanted my second little girl to have the same experience. I am due at the end of June 2013 and I am looking for repeat parents with a due date between April and September 2013 who are available during the week for a play date and pregnancy support meeting about once a week. Once we've all delivered, I plan to turn this into a mom and dad's group.
