Visit the Luthier's Workshop

  • Oct 23, 2011 · 2:00 PM

Alastair Fordyce, luthier, invited us to see how guitars are made and then to stay a while and play. He'll even have some wine and crackers for us. :)

Space is limited, so if you do RSVP and then change your plans let us know so that someone else can enjoy the party.

This event is in Belmont, so if you'd like to carpool please let us know by writing a comment along with your RSVP.

So - - plan on bringing your guitar, some munchies to share, and we'll have fun!  I will email the address along with directions and instructions about parking to those who RSVP.

See you there!

Dror (yes, my guitar is a Fordyce!)

Riveting - learning how a guitar is made was fascinating. The host and hostess were wonderfully warm and were very interesting to talk with. I learned a great deal about the art and craft of constructing a guitar.

I had a lovely time. Learned a lot about guitar-making, met friends and new people, listened to music and played some, and tried strawberries filled with fig jam... great stuff. Can't wait for the Fordyces' next party!

Alastair and his wife are wonderful hosts. Plus, I appreciated the guided tour of his workshop.
