SFCMGR Meetup: How to Create a Rocking Community Blog

Tickets are limited, so make sure to sign up soon!

Join the San Francisco Community Managers group for a panel on amazing community-centric blogs. We'll discuss the creation of guest blogging programs/partnerships, how to optimize original content, the best way to manage newsletter creation, and how to measure results.

We all know content creates trust and defines leaders in our communities, so let's gather together and talk about what we've learned.

Joining us on the panel will be the following:

MODERATOR: Murray Newlands (@MurrayNewlands)
Murray is an author, reporter, and social media consultant. He is the founder of TheMail.com and Influence People. He is also Deputy Editor at Search Engine Journal.

PANEL:

• Allison Leahy (@zapleahy), Community Manager at Ning/Glam Media. She organizes their blog, Cultivating Community, as well as their webinars, newsletters, and product tutorials.

• David Smooke (@DavidSmooke), Director of Social Media at SmartRecruiters. He is the SmartRecruiters blog editor and oversees all of their social channels.

• Meghan Murphy (@MegMurph), Manager of Community Programs at Twilio. She is our regular host and is taking some time out to share her expertise with us!

SCHEDULE:

6:30-7:00: Arrive, mingle, have drinks and snacks
7:00-8:00: Panel discussion and Q&A
8:00-9:00: Mingle, network

Very much looking forward to the event tonight! In the process of setting up TransitHero's first blog right now, so this is very timely.

Related: If anyone has any suggestions/tips for Tumblr Themes and customization, give me a shout :)

Bummer. I just realized this Meetup clashes head-on with my next SFTech4Good Meetup: http://www.meetup.com/sfnetsquared/events/141061842/ :( Have a great session and glad to see events happening again.
