The goal of the SF Community Manger's crew is to meet and trade ideas.
Community Management combines leadership, marketing, social media, customer service, and quite a few other skills as well. One great way to keep up with all these areas of growth is to meet and exchange ideas, stories, lessons, etc.
Given the dynamic and diverse companies, charities, and groups in our region, the chance to learn from people pursuing unique avenues is pretty darn exciting.
On the simplest level, this group can operate simply as a means of meeting people in our profession and kicking around ideas.
On the more ambitious side, it would be great to set up interesting presentations, speeches, or other events that would be an interesting, productive, and natural way to learn.
