Brian Theriault is a long time Maine transplant, and has always been one of my favorite Bay Area fiddlers. He and Burke Trieschmann play a number of casual gigs in Bay Area Irish pubs, where Burke plays guitar, banjo and harmonica, and occasionally croons a great song. Visit O'reilly's Pub in North Beach on a Monday night and check out the scene. These are musicians with great danceable energy and I'm thrilled that we will have them playing for us after something of an absence from the dance scene. They'll be joined by Cormac Gannon on percussion, and I'll be joining them on fiddle and mandolin (Chris Knepper), because, frankly, I think it'll be a blast.
Susan Pleck is a newer caller on the scene, but you wouldn't know it if you heard her call in San Rafael last February. She keeps the walk thoughs short and keeps the energy going. She's a natural.
