That's probably all I need to say, but for those of you who haven't heard this astounding duo yet, I'll see what I can do: Ed Howe is a true master of his instrument, playing incredible melodies and rhythms on his electric violin, while John Cote' sets down layers of powerhouse guitar, foot percussion and didgeridoo at the same time. Though that would be more than enough for a stellar night of dance music, they then use an array of electronic effects and looping pedals to bring us a veritable mountain of sound, rhythm and energy; a unique blend of traditional and modern that is all their own, and couldn't be copied if anyone tried.
These two are in SF in-between playing a 10 hour dance in Monterey and playing Portland Raindance weekend, and we're lucky to have them, as well as grateful to Monterey for bringing them out from the East coast.
Yes, we'll have the Blacklights (more than last time) and glowsticks out, so wear something that glows in the dark, and get ready to have a crazy good time!
Calling will be by our own Yoyo Zhou. Yoyo's got some great dances for us, and is looking forward to bringing his youthful energy to the event.
