meet other game artists in the area and possibly find an interesting project to work on.
I've been drawing since i can remember, but my formal education is in Computer Science and Biology. After working as a programmer for a year or so, I switched to Graphic Design and have been working at creating game art ever since (4 years). Everything I know I have taught myself or picked up from my talented colleagues. My experience is mainly in creating cartoon-style art for 2D, casual mobile games - but i do not restrict myself to that genre. I enjoy it a lot, but am also eager to try new things. I just turned 30, I'm vegetarian, I like practicing Yoga and have a toddler at home.
Pencil and oil. But generally I use Photoshop :)
I'm Iris, a casual 2D game artist that just moved to the bay area. I create art for games - from concept and character design to animation, UI\UX and production. I have many published games on Google Play, including Ninja Chicken with >10m downloads.
