SOME QUESTIONS FOR OUR DISCUSSIONS:

How do you define affluence?  How does your definition of affluence fit with respect to median household incomes? How do you think the gay community defines affluence? Median incomes: U.S.: $50,502; California: $57,287; San Francisco: $71,975

What does "success" in a career mean? How can it be achieved? What have been our good and not-so-good decisions in pursuing successHow does being gay affect our career choices? What are the responsibilities that come with success and how can we to handle them?

Changing values over the course of our lives:
What are the goals and intentions we have and had in our lives? Where do careers and affluence fit -- or not?

Is maturing different for gays and straights?

Should we be "out" or "not" at work"?

What about dating fellow employees -- and are the standards different for gays and straights?

As a gay man, how do you feel our financial obligations are different from those of our straight peers of comparable background? How about our financial priorities such as how we spend our income? What are our financial duties, if any, to give back to the gay community?

What are the challenges of dating across income brackets versus within our own income bracket? Do you see any prevailing trends in income disparities within gay relationships?

How does income play into society's and own notions of the masculine bread winner stereotype?

The meeting was great! Quite intellectually stimulating. It was great and interesting to see the different perspectives everybody had. I caught myself more than a couple of times thinking about the conversations. Great topic!

Thanks for hosting this meet up. I enjoyed it very much. I did feel like the topic was really broad and we barely scratched the surface of each subtopic during our conversation but nevertheless, the conversation was a great start and I continue to think about these topics after the meetup. :) Group members were super friendly and encouraging. I'm really glad that I went.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
