High quality code, and well tested code, usually go hand in hand these days.

Whether doing TDD, BDD, or Test First developer testing is critical. Spock is a full featured testing framework that easily drops in to your Grails workflow to make the testing process easier.

Join us on April 2nd and learn how to:
- Use Spock’s block structure to improve readability,
- Drive your tests with parameterized data
- Use Spock’s builtin Mock, Stub, and Spy utilities
- Use the built in extensions to control the test runner
- Show how you can write your own extensions.

By the way, I didn't mean to sound so negative. (Danger of posting just before going to bed.) It was a great talk. I just wish Zan would have have been a little more forceful with his own opinions. Let's really generate some debate over whether the spy pattern is ever truly useful! :)

Good point, Eric. I think style-wise I would have liked to see more in the way of 'best practices' and so forth. We're using Spock for the basics but I was able to learn much more from the preso.

Sean, I have about 35 minutes of video of the event. Contact me and I'll put those on Dropbox

The content was good, but the presentation was very dry

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
