AJ FOSIK is a Philadelphia-based sculptor who creates animal abstractions, or as he calls them "existential fetishes." Cryptic symbols from overlapping sources, traditional and contemporary, create a dynamic mashup. A complex process involving hundreds of individually cut, varnished pieces of wood and found materials, some constructed as freestanding forms while others are wall-mounted, referencing modern taxidermy practices. DANIEL ALBRIGO, a versatile New York based visual and tattoo artist, utilizes various mediums in his work from beautiful momento mori style denture oil paintings, tattoo driven etchings to seemingly lighthearted pencil illustrations and sculpture.
