"Dynamic Indexing with MongoDB" + "DreamFactory + Mongo + REST + Open Source"

We're going to have two awesome talks the month:

Abhishek from Parse: Dynamic Indexing with MongoDB

Ben Busse from DreamFactory: Connecting to MongoDB with DreamFactory's Open Source REST API

Questions about anything Mongo? There will be lots of time for these to get answered...along with free beer / drinks / pizza. If there is anything really technical, shoot me a message and I'll get a prepared answer for you!

p.s you can find more about DreamFactory here - http://dreamfactorysoftware.github.io/ + http://www.dreamfactory.com/

Hi all, here are links to the slides from my talk as well as a screencast showing how to connect a simple JS app to MongoDB with the DreamFactory REST API. Just grab the app from GitHub and try it out.

the last presentation was about a few replica sets , and unfinished proofs of concept tools ... no mention of tools such as dex and mongo sharding strategies, nor that pt-query-digest is able to process 2.4 mongo logs...will any of those topics be covered ?

I'm waiting to confirm a second speaker who will be speaking at this, or the next one - they will be covering these things. The parse talk, I've not seen before - I'll check as it may also cover some of it.

I can't speak to the content of the talk, Alexis, but I'll be there and will be happy to answer any Dex questions before/after the talk. Or you can reach me through [masked]
