Mozilla (map)

Nick Vicars-Harris

Harmonic's application is a client server model.  The framework processes media based workflows using the clients to do work – like transcoding.  The state of these workflows in terms of progress is captured in a data base currently developed against SQL. Nick will talk about their recent efforts migrating this framework to use MongoDB to both simplify the design and coding as well as create more maintainable code.

Zero to App in 15 min

Learn how you can use the .NET framework to build an app on top of MongoDB with zero infrastructure deployment, in less than 15 minutes.

Diane from WebFWD will talk about this new Mozilla program

WebFWD is Mozilla's Open Innovation program, providing mentorship, resources and infrastructure to independent open projects which align with Mozilla's mission to make the web an open and secure place for consumers. The program accepts teams worldwide on a rolling basis for a 6-month Fellowship program where we coach them from a pre-product or early product phase to a place where they attain sustainability. We're looking to greatly expand our program from our current 6 teams in 2012. Much more on how it works and what we're looking for is athttp://webfwd.org
