PDF Liberation Hackathon

Together with the Sunlight Foundation and Rally.org, I am organizing a hackathon dedicated to extracting data from PDFs. We will be using open source tools such as Tabula (Ruby) and PDF2Text (Python) as well as low cost licensed products. It would be great if the SF Open Source Developer group would co-sponsor. More on the event from Sunlight's blog post at http://sunlightfoundation.com/blog/2013/11/15/opengov-voices-pdf-liberation-hackathon-at-sunlight-in-dc-and-around-the-world-january-17-19-2014/
