About Nancy Anderson

Nancy is a nationally acclaimed career and life consultant and the author of a bestselling career guide. She started her own career consulting business in 1981, at which time she wrote Work with Passion, based on her own and her clients’ experiences. Nancy uses an intuitive, practical process for self-discovery which uses neither electronic media nor groupthink. Rather, clients begin by providing a written summary of grandparents and parents' experiences with money, work and relationships, which reveals self-defeating patterns clients often repeat without knowing they are on automatic pilot. Clients’ awareness of these patterns makes it possible to change them, and to create the life they were born to live.

Nancy’s new book, “Work With Passion in Midlife and Beyond: It’s Never Too Late to Reach Your Full Potential and Make the Money You Need”, will be released March, 2010.

I would expect this program, which should be dynamic, to run until noon.

Nancy Anderson showed us by examples that she has a different approach to life and career coaching. She selected several participants for her values, strengths, temperament, and wise choice exercises. I was riveted as she dialogued about personal harmonies, conflicts, hidden passions, family values, and strengths with our valiant volunteers. The results astonished more than one. If Marcus Aurelius is right – Your life is what your thoughts make it – then self awareness is the first step to the pursuit of success and happiness that Nancy Anderson writes about.

Nancy is an excellent presenter who practices the art of Passion: the requirement of total concentration. When participants shared their worksheet exercise results on results, strengths and temperament I noticed Nancy was able to quickly assess the situation with the individual with just the few traits named. I came away with insight and inspiration from today's meeting: I will get rid of the junk in my life! Thanks Josh and Gary for setting this one up!

I'm one of the ones that Nancy did not get to, but that's because I only imagined my hand being raised. I told her afterward, I'm shy about raising my hand, because I don't want to sound like I don't know what I'm talking about. She told me I need to start speaking my mind at least 3 times a day, to break out of my shyness. Also, she autographed her book for me, I can't believe I won it!

This was an excellent workshop. Nancy is knowledgeable and down-to-earth and it was really interesting to see how she was able to peg certain contradictions in people, between what they say they want and what they actually want. Thanks for having her!!
