As job seekers, we make plans—attend more networking events, update our resume and LinkedIn profile, follow up on that job lead—and put our “plans” in our computers, smartphones and iPads. In the process, we risk giving up too much of our thinking capacity to machines.
What we want to reinforce is our natural ability to quickly recall and access our information.
This week we will practice a way to give us greater powers of memory and recall, and learn a method and feel better about our natural memory abilities. We will learn and practice:
• Using our whole brain power—both hemispheres—to make associations that count
• Using our imagination for greater brain power
• Tools for setting goals and planning.
Jennifer and Leo, long-time SFPCN members, will show us some very interesting techniques that have been taught over centuries but have been neglected in today's world of giving our power of memory and recall over to external devices.
This will be a workshop, in groups. We used this format for the prior weeks’ Branding workshops; participants found working in teams to be very beneficial.
We look forward to seeing you this Tuesday.
Jennifer Ewing and Leo Germano
We begin networking at 900am. The program begins at 930am and finishes by 1100am. You are welcome to stay and network with the speaker and your peers up to 1130am.
