Worked at my father's funeral home business from age 14 to 20, then joined the national guard as an officer and recruited for 13 months, trained for a year, and was deployed to Iraq as a platoon leader and safety officer with specialty in electrical hazard mitigation. The military has taught me about leadership, teamwork, and planning safe operations that are completed in prompt manner. I feel especially strong in execution of events and managing logistics.
I'm trained as a teacher of English, but I feel really good about participation in the planning of events and ensuring that key tasks are completed. I'd like to be in a position where I could help ensure the success of events through careful planning, rehearsal, and quick execution. I have a strong affinity for Japanese culture and enjoy working in an international setting. I hope to work in Japan one day.
I don't feel like I'd meet my full potential as an English teacher, and I've been tasked with the execution of training events for the military. I'd like to have the opportunity to understand what positions I could parlay this experience into work I could get satisfaction from.
