I am an energetic, pro-active and highly motivated individual with more than 5 years of experience in U.S. immigration law and criminal defense of U.S. citizens and non-citizens. I have received training on U.S. Asylum law at the prestigious law offices of Lawler & Lawler; been an advocate for victims of violent crimes and domestic violence at the International Institute of the Bay Area; provided in court representation to low income permanent residents and non-permanent residents facing removal from the U.S.; assisted experienced public defenders during a 9-month clerkship at the Office of the Public Defender in the misdemeanor and felonies units; I have worked for veteran immigration lawyers and criminal defense attorneys whose specialization is the defense of non-citizens during removal proceedings based on criminal convictions. Currently I supervise a team of 14 certified preparers in complex tax issues.
I am seeking an opportunity to join a dynamic immigration law firm of excellence as an experienced paralegal. In addition to my extensive experience as a paralegal, I possess managerial experience and a deep understanding of our legal system, which adds to my capacity of legal analysis and quality of legal writing. My goal is to be part of, or to lead, an experienced removal defense team and to collaborate in offering creative and practical solutions to our clients’ needs.
I hope to expand my social and professional network. I hope to meet new interesting and professional people. I hope to secure long term, full time employment in a dynamic law firm and work very close to experienced attorneys who believe in the aggressive and cutting-edge representation of their clients.
BILINGUAL LEGAL SPECIALIST WITH EXPERIENCE IN IMMIGRATION LAW AND CRIMINAL DEFENSE I am always looking forward to new opportunities of meeting interesting people and to expanding my to social and professional networks. Alejandro C. Galindo
