I have spent time at venture-backed companies in the molecular diagnostics and biotechnology industries and have also worked independently on entrepreneurial projects in the medical device field. My functional experience has been fairly broad, covering areas including business development, market development, strategic planning, financial planning, intellectual property and collaboration management. Additionally, I have spent time volunteering as a member of the executive committee of a life sciences industry organization and also as part of a patient safety team at an academic medical center.
I am interested in roles that focus on creating new products and innovative solutions that address unmet needs in the healthcare field. Ideally, I hope to identify positions in which there is an opportunity to have a near-term impact on healthcare delivery.
I have attended several SFPCN meetings and have found the group to be extremely helpful and supportive. I am aiming to increase my level of participation and, in doing so, hopefully both gain additional momentum in my job search and also contribute to helping others in the group.
Will post shortly.
