Machine learning and predictive analytics with BigML: tips and tricks for python

This meetup will present the case for supervised learning with decision trees and then give an overview of the strengths and weaknesses of Python based tools for working with decision trees and ensembles. The session will use a live demonstration to showcase how BigML’s REST API and bindings make it possible to seamlessly blend the advantages of the cloud with the power of python to easily create actionable predictive models.

Presenter: Poul Petersen currently lives in Corvallis, Oregon, has a background in Mathematics and Physics and more than 20 years of IT experience. He currently uses python daily to run the infrastructure for BigML as the company’s CIO.

Note: we will start at 6:30, please show up on time.
