Introduction
I was a member of a queer Taoist group 10 years, maybe more back. I'm thinking I might have met some of your current members from that previous Taoist group. I identify as a Buddhist who mixes a healthy dose of Taoist philosophy in my life.
Majority of SF Queer Taoists group members are gay/lesbian, are you OK with that?
I'm queer so that is just fine.
SF Queer Taoists meets in San Francisco biweekly on Wednesday nights, either in a member's home or at a Cafe, does this sound good?

SF Queer Taoists is a "study" group, we read a short text from Lao Tzu or Chuang Tzu, and members get to talk about how the ancient text applies to our daily life. It may be related to any current personal, social, and political events. Interested?

SF Queer Taoists is a small and intimate group. Are you looking for a large group? If yes, our group may not be a match for you.
Not a problem I prefer small groups.
How much do you know about Taoism? It is definitely not an requirement, as long as you are interested in this philosophy. We do talk about Feng Sui, Ying & Yang, Tai Chi, I-Ching etc. in addition to ancient Daoists classics.
What I know is how Taoism has played a part in my spiritual progression. I'm by no means anywhere near scholarly in my knowledge, but that seems beside the point. It calls to me, that is what matters.
