Join us for a fun exploration through beautiful Golden Gate Park visiting the beautiful & gorgeous Music Concourse, Stow Lake, Waterfall & the tallest point of Golden Gate Park "Strawberry Hill" And, we will venture across to the other side of the park & explore Sutro Baths & Lands End all in one day! Points of interest are: Golden Gate Park Sharon Meadow, Conservatory of Flower, Music Concourse/Fountains, Japanese Tea Garden, Stow Lake/Waterfall, Strawberry Hill, JFK Dr Stream to Spreckels Lake, Bison Paddock, Sutro Baths, Lands End Trail, Labyrinth & Eagles' Point & the breathtaking coastal vistas along the way. Take in some of the most beautiful, scenic views in San Francisco. Have a great time socializing while meeting new friends & enjoy lots of fun & laughter. Members in the group are always nice & friendly. We always have a lot of fun whenever we all get together with a couple of other meetup groups also invited. So join in on the fun! We look forward to seeing you there!

We will meet in Union Square at Bar Norcini for coffee & a meet & greet. Please arrive no later than 12:45 for announcements & brief intros. At 1 pm, we will begin our trip to Golden Gate Park by bus (20min), where we start walking through the Golden Gate Park Sharon Meadows followed by a walk through John F Kennedy Dr. passing by the lovely Conservatory of Flowers then strolling towards the magnificent Music Concourse & its gorgeous fountains. After, we hop across to enchanting Stow Lake & climb up the stairs next to the wonderful waterfall for some of the most picturesque & breathtaking views in San Francisco. From there, we hike up Strawberry Hill to get to the highest point of Golden Gate Park to catch a glimpse of the city & a great view of Ocean Beach. We then hike downhill & walk through John F Kennedy Dr to get a special look at the bison paddock. From there, we continue on to Sutro Baths & ending at Eagles' Point Lands End. At around 6 pm, we head into the Inner Richmond for some drinks &/or Asian food. It's quite a distance & a few hills, so you will get a pretty good workout.

• IMPORTANT NOTE: Be sure to grab your lunches, drinks & snacks for our exploration. Be sure to have a healthy snack handy & a bottle of water in case of dehydration & blood sugar drops due to exercising several hours. (Dinner isn't until 6:30 pm-ish.) Conveniently, there are plenty of stores, shops & delis in the area.

• PLEASE NO LATE GUESTS after the hike for dinner, drinks, etc. Thank you!

• RETURN: Most members will be taking the #38 Geary St bus back to downtown & Bart (20 min) after dinner from the Inner Richmond. From there we may head to Pandora Karaoke Lounge by Powell Street Bart Station if enough people want to go.

• HOW TO FIND US: Bar/Cafe Norcini is a small cafe in the lobby of Villa Florence Hotel. Just look for a group gathering around the bar.

***************************************************

• DIFFICULTY: Easy/Moderate -- 4 hours walk/hike with some rest stops for quick bathroom breaks & photos. Be prepared uphill stairs & hills during the walk. The difficulty will be more the distance than anything else if you're not used to walking for long hours. For specifics: please google map -- Directions from Carl St./Cole St. to GG Park to Conservatory of Flowers to Music Concourse to Stow Lake Boathouse to Bison Paddock to Beach Chalet to Sutro Baths to Eagles' Point Lands End Trail.

• IMPORTANT NOTE: CASH ONLY PLEASE!! -- for easier & quicker bill payment after dinner. Please no excuses -- if you don't read the description before joining us for dinner. (It takes a long time to wait for the usual half-dozen credit cards members pull out to come back after we're all done with dinner. And, it's unfair to everyone else to have to wait for many credit cards to be processed.)

• ORGANIZER FEE: An advanced fee of $2 is required via Paypal to join this event. (Or you may pay in person at the meetup location.) Please send payment as GIFT under the "personal" tab to:

• Bus Fare: $2.00 one-way ----------------------------------------------------------------------

PARKING INFO: We usually get some late-comers because of parking issues. Parking is difficult in this busy area, especially on weekends. I would highly recommend public transportation. But, if you need to drive in, here is a link for parking garages in the area:

Cela, I am sorry. I fell sick and updating the RSVP slipped from my mind. This was the first time no-show and I hope not be penalized.

Welcome Members! This will be a fun meetup exploring the magnificent & beautiful Golden Gate Park, Sutro Baths & Lands End. This is one of my favorite places to walk & to witness the beauty of nature right in our very own backyard. So far we have about 15 members who have RSVPd from various meetup groups invited. Looking forward to a fun day hiking, socializing & meeting new friends!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
