Get your freaky Weirdness on! Start out brunching and drinking away w/ fellow Bay Area fogies before letting out your inner weirdness on the huge outdoor block party dance floor!
What: Sunday Brunch (Nova Bar & Restaurant, http://www.novabar.com/) & How Weird Street Faire (http://howweird.org/).
About How Weird: 10 Stages of Music, Art & Performance Craziness. Costumes HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Location/Time: SOMA / 12PM-til we can't feel our feet
The Planno (Read Carefully)
1.) 12PM-2PMish: Brunch & Social Time @ Nova Bar (555 2nd Street): Meet & Greet a must before getting weird w/ randoms. Brunch & Bottomless Mimosas will definitely loosen up the party.
2.) 2pmish-???: How Weird Street Faire (New Montgomery & 2nd). We'll crawl around the busy streets, boogie it out if the music is lively, watch for absurd performances & snack/shop up as needed!
Cost: Free, but bring cash! (Suggested Donation at Weird Faire: $10...goes to charity I think)
How to Find the Group: Join us for brunch (even if you're not hungry). Look for the guy in green glasses/antennas and nose and a green shirt (sorry no flag this time)! I'll also post group whereabouts throughout the day
Contact Info: Was sent to those who RSVP'd by 5/3/14!
Twitter Feed: https://twitter.com/SFRandoms
Weather: Unpredictable... so dress accordingly!
WHAT WE NEED TO DO:
Meet Up: Start @ Nova around 12PM. Socializing is always strongly recommended!! If it does get crowded, we can hop to another nearby bar/restaurant.
But I'm hella lagging: See u on the SOMA streets when you get to the festival! Try to text us or simply check Meetup for updates.
Bring Stuff: ID, Cash/Card, Crazy Random Colorful Costumes, Jacket/Sweater gear (if you feel cold), Funk Swag, "sneak-in alky" & some positive energy for sharing.
Have Fun: Dance it up if the music is rocking, socialize, drink & relax outdoors w/ good people!
Parking: Street parking is a bit tough in SOMA (but meters are free again on Sundays). My recommendation is to park around West SOMA (around 6th/7th/8th and Howard area then walk over.
MUNI/BART/CalTrain: Bus 14, MUNI N/T, Caltrain & BART Montgomery should get you near the area.
