Announcing a new Meetup for The San Francisco Redis Meetup Group!
What: Salvatore Sanfilippo in San Francisco!
When: Wednesday, June 23,[masked]:30 PM
235 2nd St
San Francisco, CA 94105
I'm excited to announce that the creator of Redis, Salvatore Sanfilippo (aka antirez), will be our speaker at the next SF Redis Meetup. Salvatore will talk to us about the future of Redis, the database he open-sourced a little over one year ago. This will be Salvatore's first appearance in the US, and it's our honor to welcome him.
Simon Willison has called Salvatore "possibly my favorite open source maintainer of all time" -- and with good reason!
Our meetup will be Wednesday, June 23 at 6:30. We'll be meeting at CBS Interactive, 235 2nd Street in SF. This meetup is also presented by the good folks at the SF NoSQL Meetup group.
We'll start with the usual pizza and soda at 6:30, do some introductions around 7, and Salvatore will speak a little after that.
CBS Interactive is located near both BART and CalTrain, between Howard and Folsom in SOMA. There's usually free street parking in the area, too.
