Mark from Basho here. I hope all is well. There's some exciting, Riak-related news I wanted to pass along (of which you may or may not be aware already):
Basho, along with some great sponsors, is throwing a two day conference in October called RICON at the W Hotel in San Francisco.
RICON will be dedicated to Riak and other distributed systems in production. We'll have talks from the likes of Joseph Hellerstein (UC Berkeley), Gary Flake (Clipboard), Dana Contreras (Twitter), Selena Deckelmann (PostgreSQL), The Bump Team, Voxer, OpenX, a handful of Basho Engineers talking about the future of Riak, and a bunch of other amazing speakers. (There are also a few heavy-hitters we are yet to announce...)
Also, if you're running Riak in production, shoot me an email. I've got a discount code for you.
Hope to see you in October. Let me know if you have any questions.
Mark ([address removed])
PS - I'll also be trying to put a standard Riak meetup on the calendar at the end of August or beginning of September to talk about (among other things) the 1.2 release (which is due out Very Soon Now™). I'll keep you posted on this.
