Garden for the Environment Free Rainwater Workshop + walking tour

Hi folks!

Sorry we've been remiss in scheduling anything here lately. Have had a lot going on (work, family visiting, new kitten, etc etc) but have been jonesing for another gardening meetup and this seemed perfect opportunity.  The Garden for the Environment is a really cool space in inner sunset full of great plants and great advice alike.

They have several workshops each month, some free, some not, and this one -- intro to Rainwater Harvesting -- is free. If you are interested please both RSVP here and also sign up with their event here:

Official site with more info:

This is from 10-12 Saturday, and we'll follow up with a walk through their gardens after from 12-12:30.  If you can't make workshop you can probably latch on with our group as we hang in the gardens but let us know if you'll be doing that.

Hope to see ya there! (And if you have suggestions for future workshops, let us know!)

Thanks, Craig and Madge

I definately learned some things I can apply immediately and for the future. I'm bringing that woman a mega phone next time so we can hear her over the traffic though. Great to see you guys! Nice to meet you Ted.

I'm bringing my 14 year old too, if that's not a problem. She's in the middle of creating her neighborhood/community garden and is sheet mulching these days for the winter (well, it's more for spring really) and wants to learn to rain save as well.

      Absolutely not a problem!

Well, since I scored an 80 gallon rain barrel two weeks ago off Craigslist for $15, it might be a good idea to come to this class. Always up for learning new things. I love GFE classes, they're always interesting and informative. The compost class is next for me there.
