Whales and Elephant Seals (Beg 5 miles)

Title: Whales and Elephant Seals (Beg 5 miles)

Type: Whale Watching and Elephants seals

Cool Features: Water Fall, rivers, and of course YOU!

It's peak season for grey whale migration and it's also elephant seal mating season up at Point Reyes. Both can be viewed from the southwest tip of the park near the lighthouse and Chimney Rock. Let's make a day of it!

We will carpool to Drake's Beach parking lot around 11:00am and plan to be at the lighthouse around 12:pm for a picnic lunch. Then we can head over to see the elephant seals after lunch. Depending on whether we saw whales or not, we can either head back to the lighthouse for more whale watching or perhaps look for a nice beach or short hike before heading home.

I'm in San Jose area (Saratoga). Would love to carpool to this. Would prefer riding and paying for gas/mileage.
