I am a freelance writer. My business card reads Screenwriter-Producer and Ghost Blogger.
Besides sitting alone each and every day in front of my computer there is nothing more I appreciate than spending time with fellow writers sharing our craft and/or a bottle of good wine. Life is to short to drink bad wine.
I began writing screenplays during the last ten years of a 25 year career as a stockbroker with Wells Fargo Securities and Charles Schwab & Associates in San Francisco. When the economy suffered its dot-com bust I committed to a new path: writer.
I'd say it is well and vigorous. The unifying force seems to be a desire to be read, and secondarily to make money. I'm an old capitalist that's found his literary voice, so both sound fine to me. Happy to join this community.
