Monthly News SFWC

From: W. Ross A.

June has been a good month with the SFWC.

Several companies have been contacting me to sponsor our group. I am very selective and only choose those that are truly valuable to our members.

The company Fast Pencil seems to have some promise. It is an online writing tool that then formats your book with chapters, indexes, title/copyright pages, cover .... everything. Then it streamlines it into a print on demand service.

Check it out and let me know what you think. I am experimenting with it myself.

Once again the Build Your Site Today workshop sold out in June...for the 3rd month in a row. I will be opening it up in July to 3 spot is already taken.

The Promote and Sell Your Book workshop is going very well and looks like it will fill up soon. I think I will be closing the membership of this event once we hit seven members.

The group is really growing and I want to make it even cooler. So, I am looking for someone to become the historian for the group. What that means is that you would be in charge of getting pictures posted from the events and take video of our readers each month at the Lit Events and put them on Youtube.

Let me know if you are interested in becoming involved at a higher level in the community.

I am lining up some great speakers to come share their thoughts with us about the future of writing and publishing, so keep your eyes open and don't miss out.

As always, let me know what you want more of and I will see if it can happen.

Talk to you soon,

P.S. If you know other writers, editors, publishers or whoever in the industry, invite them to come join us. The more community we have the stronger we all are.
