This group is designed for 50+ Single individuals who would like to meetup with others in our age group and do fun activities .  Various types of outings will be posted. Fairs, festivals, outdoor concerts, picnics, trips to the beach, wine tasting, bring your dog events, reading in the park, theme parks, road trips. short hikes, bbq's, games, sports events (SJ Giants, SF Giants, etc.).......and many other types of fun activities.

Not a Dating Site / Age Range and Uninvolved Single Status will be Upheld

This Meetup is for individuals 50+ that are single. The 50+ Fun in the Sun Group is not a Singles Dating Site. It is a site FOR singles in a certain age range to come together and develop nice connections with others in our age range. If, out of that, nice friendships develop, wonderful. So, I would like to request that members do not contact each other without having met. If folks start emailing based upon pictures, that feels to me more like a dating site.

What makes this Meetup group different is that it is a good place to meet good people and not feel pressure to do anything that you do not want to do.

Men to Women Ratio

Please encourage your single male friends within the age range to join the Meetup. I have had some comments that there are not enough men in our group.


Safety

Please be prudent in what you share about yourselves. I know that you all know this, but I wouldn't give out phone numbers, addresses, etc. unless you are feeling very comfortable with someone.

Event No Shows

If you sign up for an event and do not change your RSVP to "not going" after 2 no shows I will drop folks from the Meetup. It is unfair to those on the Wait List when seats are left empty by someone who is RSVP'd to come and then "no shows".

NOTE: 

I have decided not to charge Membership dues for this group......but any donations are always welcome as they will cover the cost of Organizing the Meetup Group ($72 for six months) and scheduling events.  Thanks!

MEETUP TIPS -

• It is only necessary to RSVP YES for events.  Please do not RSVP NO to an event, unless the organizer has asked for that specifically. This decreases the number of email notifications received by the Organizer and members.
• Please take the time to READ ALL of the posting Before RSVPing, so you are familiar with all the details. This lessens the amount of RSVP changes and extra emails to the Organizer.
• Please only sign up for events that you Know you can commit to, especially if there is an attendee limit posted.  
• Try to avoid last minute changes of your RSVP.  
• If you must miss an event you signed up for, please Change your RSVP as soon as possible, so others can attend.
• Please do not be a No-Show - my club rule is 2 no shows and you are removed from the Meetup group.
