South Bay Electronics and Embedded Designers Meetup

The meetup has become a great place to talk about electronics. Most members are actively building something. Really great group of people and a fun time. Tours of Techshop are free and ad hoc. For food, McDonalds is next store. If Techshop parking ever gets full, there is free parking on the side streets.

Coffeetronics is the future. Silicon Valley mostly runs on caffeine (have you ever been to Starbucks in the morning on weekday? :)

Temp control currently for single boiler home espresso machines such as Rancilio Silvia. It can however be easily adapted for other thermal loops. I have several future projects that will be based off this including coffee roaster, solder reflow controller, and a few others.

It was a blast. So many interesting people and projects. I made some new friends and met some old ones. Definitely a good time.

That sounds cool. Have you heard of Spot? I think they sell it at REI. It doesn't have a motion sensor though. The idea of collecting vitals is a good one because people in trouble can't always respond.

I've been working on a personal location system with motion sensing capabilities and sms alerts for emergency rescue
