Play Battlestar Galactica!

Are you a Cylon? Find out in Fantasy Flight's game of intrigue and doom! I've got a copy of Battlestar Galactica that hasn't been played in a while, so I'm looking to fix that. It's also a little too long for library play, so I'm setting up an event for it.

If you know the game, you already know it's awesome. If you don't know it, then you know that it's a cooperative game in which the remnants of humanity are trying to survive and escape the Cylon menace. Except that several players in the game are actually Cylons, and out to bring humanity's doom.

The game is 3-6 players, 3 to 4 hours to play, and pretty easy to learn. I'll make dinner, bring snacks if you like, we'll have fun!

Never seen people go into such gales of hilarity over being betrayed. I just dropped by to watch part of the game - did the ragtag fleet make it to the shining planet called Earth? Or was synthetic Athena able to open up the Battlestar to Cylon invasion?

Well, the surrealism broke down along the following lines:

      30% really thinking Apollo/Matt was a Cylon
30% having fun picking on Matt (which we always do to each other in games like this)
30% making lots of accusations because that helps shake information loose in a loyalty game
10% maintaining a consistent profile so that nobody can tell the difference in future games when I *am* a Cylon >:)

Ah, yes. The razz factor. Half of what makes gaming fun is the opportunity to give each other crap over something that only a small child or a lunatic could take seriously. (Unfortunately, there are a few more of those than one would think at first glance, so you have to be a little careful.)

Sorry. I'm out of town Saturday morning, and won't be back in time to play. If I can, I'll stop by and see how it's going later in the afternoon. (But I assure you, I'm not a Cylon.)

If there's more interest than spots just let me know, I'm happy to occupy my Saturday another way.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
