Morning Hike For Beginners

In the spirit of being healthy, let's have a refreshing morning walk.

The morning is a great time to walk and chat.  It hasn't gotten hot yet.  It will be around 55-60 degrees tomorrow during our walk.

This park has some nice trails perfect for strollers.

Wear layer clothes, as it will be chilly at first then you will get hot walking.

Bring water and snacks. (I'm always starving after a walk, I have to bring a snack otherwise I'll eat a 900 calorie meal from McDonald's, lol)  Unfortunately it's true.

We will hike both side of Stone Oak Park.

The hike is easy, about 2-2.5 miles in distance. Our speed will be slow to moderate pace 2-2.5 miles per hour, depending on the group's ability.

This is an easy, flat, well maintained trail.

Wear walking shoes and bring water.

Yeah!!! Dogs are allowed. :)

We will meet in the parking lot that does not have a playground.

If you park and notice a playground, you can drive or walk across the street to the other parking lot.

We will gather up starting at 10:45 and leave at exactly 11:00.

After the walk kids can have lots of fun playing on the playground, it will be in the 60s by then.  I'll have my little girl with me, so if you have kids you can join us at the playground afterwards. :)

Happy Hiking
