Brad Feld Meets San Diego Tech Founders

***SOLD OUT***

Directions:

Map to Wells Fargo Hall

Map to Porter's Pub

Uh, this is going to rock.

Brad Feld, author, investor, entrepreneur (not necessarily in that order) is coming to meet San Diego startups. I am particularly fired up to show him the progress San Diego has made in the 2-3 years since I saw him at his Do More Faster tour.

So come out in force! Buy your tickets early -- this will SELL OUT.

Brad will talk about building Startup Communities from his fourth book, Startup Communities: Building an Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in Your City. If you have not read it, you should. You will recognize the issues we are all wrestling with.

He also has three (!) others coming out over the course of 2013 (Startup Life, Startup Boards, and Startup Metrics - see http://startuprev.com.)

We'll be sure to save time for Q&A. Feel free to post questions for Brad below and I'll make sure the most popular ones are addressed.

As always, DRINKS afterward at Porter's Pub ARE COVERED BY YOUR ticket.

Agenda:

7:00 Enter, a bit of networking if you wish

7:30 Opening remarks

7:35 Brad Feld

8:30 Head to Porter's Pub (Drinks included)

Awesome event. Thanks Brant and everyone for putting it on. Just another reason I love this city:)

Great event. Running into brick walls should be a chapter in every entrepreneur handbook (and probably is in the better ones), and attending an event like last nights motivates to get around those walls and to leverage the best resource we have around us -- fellow entrepreneurs. Brant, et al, thanks for putting together.

Insights from Brad Feld on how to create a vibrant startup community in San Diego. Folks who want to help should talk to Brant, Melani Gordon, Austin Neudecker...

Thanks a lot Brant for bringing Brad, such a phenomenal speaker! We are all fired up to take part and build a vibrant Startup community!

  • Kelly A.

I especially liked Brad's take on how to ensure a good spousal relationship even in the startup life. I've always been a married entrepreneur and it's nice to hear my actions validated even though so many people told me as an entrepreneur never get married, never buy a house and never have kids. Turns out these things are perfectly fine, even necessary, "distractions."

  • Doug T.

Great talk. Excited to see so many people interested in moving SD forward.

    April 11, 2013

  • Dan R.

Great talk; great Q&A. I saw a video interview of him 2 mo ago, and he struck me as being like the Steven Spiellberg of the tech and VC world. He doesn't bowl you over with his brilliance; rather, he warms you up with his insights, his wisdom, his friendliness. Good guy. Glad I went. Brant, thanks for putting it all together.
