Tea N More etiquette / KTV Night

大家好。 Thanks to everyone who has been coming out to our recent meetups.  We had close to 50 people at our big Chinese New Year bash, full of wonderful food, drink, and singing.  Yes, lots of singing! If you haven't had a chance to join us recently, that's OK. We're always here for you when you can find the time.

Our most popular get-together is, of course, our weekly conversation practice at Tea N More every Thursday evening.  However, I have heard some grumbling from Tea N More management lately about the fact that we take up a large amount of space for an extended period of time, and many people do not purchase anything and even bring in outside food or drink.

It's only fair that in return for them giving us use of the space, that each one of us orders at least one food or drink item, and that we do not bring in food or drink purchased elsewhere.  And don't be so fast to throw away your empty drink cup when you're done.  When they glance over at our tables, we want them to see evidence of many purchases :-).  Tea N More is actually being quite generous to us.  Other Meetup organizers tell me that their stays there are limited to two hours.  We are lucky that they allow us to stay for up to five hours. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

Moving on to Saturday night, we only have four RSVPs for our karaoke event this weekend.  If you're interested in attending, please RSVP now.  If I don't get several more by Thursday evening, I'm going to have to cancel the event and you may end up spending yet another weekend evening sitting in front of your TV instead of being out having fun with a great group of strangers and friends.

If you have any suggestions for future events, please just let me know.

We hope to see you soon...
