I am a 'semi retired'/unemployed Alcoholism & Drug Abuse Counselor. Due to years off from work to help raise my grand daughter, and then some chronic health issues having come up,..I am a stay at home gramma now. I am 52, and married. I just got Puppy D. 2 weeks ago. Puppy is awesome at shadowing my 2 older dogs, and is learning house breaking and daytime..(just a couple hours) crating. Puppy sleeps with me , in my bed. I have been interested in Corgi's for a few years because I wanted another herding 'puppy' for my aging girls to train/momma as they are really getting 'up there' in years, and I don't want to loose one and have the other suddenly left alone. Puppy is great therapy for them, and for me. We have 3 indoor cats that tolerate the dogs well, 2 of the cats are each partnered with a dog,.. the other cat has partnered with me!! 'Maxwell' , who is my 13 yr. old's cat, also loves Puppy. Puppy will eventually be a TDI/Therapy Dog, as a companion for me and meet others.
I want to learn more about Corgis, and meet Corgi people!!
I am not sure, as it depends on my health and how I'm doing... I imagine anywhere from 25-60 miles.
My name is Maggie, and I am a new Momma of a 7 mo old Black Tri Pembroke Welsh Corgi! I have raised Australian Shepherds all of my life and currently have 2 'retired' girls , Tesi age 13,and Annie (Cheyenne) 12. I live in Jamul, CA
I would like to suggest a meet up in Rural East County,..
