Yes , the more I think abt the movie the more I wanted to see it ,study it A very intelligent movie , superbly "underplayed" by actors ,so many nuances and the constant question ...."is it all The Evil ? There was a sparkle of humanity in his intention ? Just a sick mind ? Was the physical "look alike " with Dr Jivago ( the Good Dr ) a coincidence ?IN this movie his eyes were always frightening cold and he never ,ever smiled
What was Argentina,s and the family contribution to the drama ? Why German school ?

Yes! "Underplayed" brilliantly by the entire cast. And yes!...so much of the side story was purposely left as an aside, with very little updates or explanations...which only added to the great atmosphere of subtle tension, mystery and suspense. Love!!

Wow What a movie ! Like a good book , based on the true story that has a life of its own and you can not put it down till you finish it
Yes I knew "the story " I knew more that I wanted to know abt Mengele "The Angel of Death " at Auschwitz.that did " medical experiments"on children had a fascination with twins , dwarfs and giants. The mad, evil monster that was also handsome , always all dressed , give candies on ocassions to children ,looked calm and almost elegant in his manners .
The movie and the actor not only captured that duality but everything in this great movie was about contrasts and opposites . Spectacular scenery , a nostalgic old villa, and yet secrets, terror, gripping fear. I want to see it again

    Absolutely fantastic.

Sets an ominous, subtle slow-suspense atmosphere from the opening shot and holds it tight all the way to the end...keeping its grip firm and lightly forceful without ever letting up or tightening too much...all they way to the end.

And the end...what can I say...the last few minutes of this film are a cinematic masterpiece...from the shots to the amazing choice of music/music dynamism to the credit segue.

And...it's a true story! Goddamn. Incredible, subtle, gripping storytelling. Definitely one of my favorite films of the year to-date.

I hope everyones having a great week!

Just a reminder that since this is a film festival...you'll want to get to the theater a bit early. Each film will be starting its own line about a half hour or more before the showing.

With that...also keep in mind, we may not all get to sit together due to the line process...so these meetups are a bit different than normal. But definitely look for each other when you arrive...etc.

As for parking, this theater features a very large parking lot in front and another large one underground, for the theater and all of the other businesses.

    See everyone at the theater!
