America's Finest Film Fest 2014 (Un-hosted Event)

America's Finest Film Fest 2014

Back for year 2, America's Finest Film Fest will be highlighting the beauty and diversity of America's Finest City through a variety of short films made in San Diego, by San Diegans, or about San Diego.

Last year's film fest sold out quickly, so you'll want to purchase tickets early.

The event includes:

The Film Fest

A Reception

A Local Maker's Fair (think Etsy but all San Diego made)

Where is America's Finest Film Festival taking place?

This year's event takes place at the Irwin M Jacobs Hall in Sorrento Valley.  Parking is Free and Abundant.

No mention of the specific films being shown? How about screening block end times?

Stuart, you're right- most of the films being screened are available online. We were glad to have met you earlier last month and are bummed we had filled our time slots for this year's line up. This is intended to be a social event that highlights films people may not search for or know to search for, as well as bring people together for a social event. And as a small film fest, this is also some of the producers first time in a fest which we've gotten excited feedback and we're also excited because it's just our second year. It's going to be a fun night- films, beer, and people who like films and beer. If you'd like to join us, snag a ticket! Eventbrite will be open til 4pm or til sell out. 8 tickets left for the 5pm screening! We're looking forward to tonight!

My intention wasn't to spend all day watching the films on Youtube instead of buying a ticket. Most of the film festivals I've been accepted into screen films that are already online. Your organization and this fundraiser seems worthy to support in my opinion. I wanted to know of any of my filmmaking friends or acquaintances were screening in your festival tonight. The 48 hour "best of" is screening downtown tonight as well and I do know that a few of my friends are showing their films - some of which I missed during the first screenings a few weeks ago. In order to make that decision I was hoping to look up the films and see who was involved - maybe watch a trailer or two. This is just my experience with festivals, but people come to support their friends, family, colleagues, etc... Something to consider for next year.
