Encinitas Chess Club says you can Eat, Sip and Play CHESS every Sunday!

Michael has agreed to host Sundays at California Pizza Kitchen.

Whooo Hoo! We've got a permanent day, a permanent location and a permanent Assistant Organizer, to EAT, SIP and PLAY CHESS! lol

Come join us EVERY Sunday 6:30pm at California Pizza Kitchen, Solana Beach. Now, we play from 6:30pm to 9:30pm, so if you can't make it on time.... no worries. We're still there and playing! (You can count on it)! And if you would like to come at 6pm, just call me and I'll meet you there earlier, to start playing earlier!

GREAT NEWS! Every time you come, you are registered in a FREE Raffle for a chess set, to be picked on December 16th, just in time for xmas!

We have players that haven't played since High School, others that consider themselves 'good', others that are good but just looking to have some fun, and others who are rated 1800. Those who just want to play, play. But actually what I have found is the nice thing is everyone teaches everyone. (After you make a lousy move your partner might say: "wanna see what you could have done")? lol

You must RSVP. I need to let them know 6, 12, 18, or 24. They have the room for us, but I have to reserve it. The food is great..... $3.50 - $15, with the average around $10.00 per person. They have decent wine for $7.00 a glass, or $21 a bottle, so that's pay for 3 glasses, get four!

I would love to charge you and make money on this. But alas! I'm not. Please remember that and pay your way by attending often and on time! That's really all I ask! Keep this group going strong!

Oh yeah.....Come prepared to order something. There's no rules on how much you spend as long as you order something. And enjoy hours of privacy while we eat, drink and play chess! I will keep this location as long as I get a minimum of 6 players each week.

If you're interested in chess, come support us! Help us continue by participating!

Best,

Chef Marian

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
