Movie Night -Oppai Volleyball

Join us! We're bringing Japanese movies (with English subtitles) to our hangout at Broadway Coffee! ** Note - the movie starts at 9:45PM, but we will be there at 8 for anyone who wants to show up early to hang out, play some Playstation 3, get some drinks or chat. The cafe we use for this event is being generous with their equipment, time, and space, so if you can help out by buying a tea/coffee/etc. or leaving a tip, I'm sure the owners would appreciate it. ** ===================== Runner up for the previous movie night was, "Oppai Volleyball". Nakamura Toru | Taguchi Hiromasa | Ayase Haruka | Ichige Yoshie | Mitsuishi Ken | Fukushi Seiji | Ishida Takuya | Aoki Munetaka | Ohgo Suzuka
Oppai Volleyball Trailer Drama/ Comedy/ True Story Ayase Haruka gives hope to teenage boys in the inspirational zero-to-hero sports comedy Oppai Volleyball. Based on Mizuno Munenori's novel, feel-good hit Oppai Volleyball makes its themes clear in the title; it's about volleyball and "oppai" - which means "breasts" in Japanese! Directed by hitmaker Hasumi Eiichiro (Umizaru), the film follows a ragtag boys volleyball team, and their quest for the ultimate prize junior high school athletics can offer - getting flashed by Ayase Haruka. Oppai Volleyball costars Nakamura Toru (K-20) and Aoki Munetaka (Giniro no Season). Earnest and enthusiastic newbie teacher Mikako (Ayase Haruka) has just started teaching at a junior high school. She volunteers to coach the boys' volleyball team - only to find the team consists of five nerdy teens with no athletic skills, and their minds in the gutter. To motivate them to practice and participate, Mikako promises to show them her breasts if they win a game! ===================== One of the most entertaining ways to appreciate Japanese culture is through its cinema. In America, this is usually confined to two or three people huddled around a DVD player or computer. Instead, we'd like to share and enjoy this experience with a room full of Japanese enthusiasts. Our setup is enviable. Our host at Broadway Coffee has offered us the use of his whole cafe after it closes, as well as his powerful, world-class sound system, which we'll then be hooking up to our projector. In other words, we can actually enjoy these movies as they were meant to be seen - on a big screen, with audio that fills up the whole room. :)

I enjoyed the movie, and even more because it was with a group. Nice Oppai!

Please note that just because the title has Oppai in it doesn't mean it's an R rated film. This movie is very PG and is based off real events that happened in the 70's. Sorry to get anyone's hopes up with a film with the words, "Oppai" in the title. :P
