Introduction

はじめまして。My name is Tim. I'm relatively new to the San Diego area. I'm aiming to make some new friends and get back into studying Japanese. どうぞよろしくおねがいします。

How much time have you spent in Japan and where? Or, if you are Japanese, how long have you been away from Japan?

I have unfortunately never been to Japan. I really, really want to go some day.

If you are not from Japan, have you studied Japanese? Where?

I actually switched majors in college in order to study Japanese. The Computer Science degree at the University of Southern California required foreign language units and they have an amazing Japanese department. I had the distinct pleasure of enjoying three semesters of fully-immersive Japanese language courses.
