Introduction

Hi. I've spent several years living in Japan and consider Tokyo my second home, though lately when I speak Japanese I can't believe all the vocabulary I've forgotten.

How much time have you spent in Japan and where? Or, if you are Japanese, how long have you been away from Japan?

I've never added up all the time I've spent there, but it's probably about 4 years.

If you are not from Japan, have you studied Japanese? Where?

I first studied Japanese at the Claremont Colleges. Then I took a summer intensive class the summer before I went to Waseda Daigaku in Tokyo, where I studied for an additional year. Then I studied more, both at the Claremont Colleges and UCLA.

How many Hello Kitty items do you own? (No, posession of Kitty-chan articles is not a requirement of membership.)

Gee... I don't think I own any! I'll have to rectify this soon.
