PHP Study Group Meetup (Bi-Weekly)

The objective of this group is to build up basic knowledge about PHP, programming concepts and best practices. Along the way we'll learn how to use libraries, frameworks, and create our own project (TBD).

The group meets every other week at the CPC Strategy offices.

We will be starting to work on our PhotoOp project and I want us to start coding ASAP. Therefore I will be setting up a Symfony2 skeleton that will be available on GitHub with in the next few days. If you don't want to use Symfony as your main framework you are welcome to work on your own implementation of the PhotoOp application and recruit any of us who may be interested in learning a different framework (it must be PHP). The purpose of this exercise is to practice some of the concepts and use the tools we have been learning for the past 6 months. I know some of you may need help setting up development environments and I will be available to help anyone that needs to get up and running. Therefore I have updated the time for our meetup on April[masked] to start early 5:30 PM and finish late 10:00 PM.

Don't worry you don't have to be here for that entire time, and you don't need to be there on time either :)

    Hope to see you there

Code for Monday is up! Clone/Fork it and run "composer install". This is just the barebones application with two sample controllers.
