PHP Study Group Meetup (Weekly)

The objective of this group is to build up basic knowledge about PHP, programming concepts and best practices. Along the way we'll learn how to use libraries, frameworks, and create our own project (TBD).

The group meets every Monday at the CPC Strategy offices.

Wish I could make it, got a new job, so juggling my Master's Degree with work is about all I can handle right now. Sorry to bail on you guys!

Yes, we are learning some fundamentals of application development. The idea behind is to use re-usable components and understand the concepts behind some of these components. You can take a look at the slides for study-group-01 and study-group-02 on http://slides.com/one...

I'm looking forward to see you all. We have been building a simple application and developing a framework using reusable components (Request, response, routing, controller resolver). Today we will look at extending the application using the event dispatcher and implementing the Symfony2 HttpKernelInterface to "decorate" our core framework code. As a reminder anyone who needs help setting up the LAMP stack is welcome to come at 5:00PM and I will help you out. Until then!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
