Learn to Build a Nursery (Step 4) [Vista]

  • May 8, 2014 · 8:00 AM
  • Ron's House

We're moving locations down the street to learn some nursery basics!

Come join us this Thursday at Ron's new homestead where he's got tons of opportunity to establish his own permaculture-inspired food forest.

We'll be learning how to:

• build seed flats

• mix seed flat soil

• sow seeds

• practice double digging

• get an introduction from Ron on how to make Bokachi (a Japanese composting style)

Hope to see you there on Thursday. This is one of the last two weeks Juaquin will be around until his return from Mango Fantango in Florida.

The more people that show up, the easier the work, so bring a friend!

----

Can't make it out Thursday? Juaquin is at the nursery almost every day! So, if Thursdays don't work, please reach out to him at (505)[masked] and he'll be happy to check his schedule and coordinate working together.

----

Some love from Lorraine:

"This event was fantastic! Master Horticulturist Juaquin was delightful and inspiring. All participants were generous in sharing their knowledge and put their all into the work of clearing the property."

I'm going to have to come another time. i've been really under the weather and wouldn't be of much help. I DO look forward to meeting you soon. I'm not far away, just starting to develop my own place out in Fallbrook. Have fun today and see you soon! Mike

Hey Ron & Tigre! I am really interested in learning the Bokachi method. Seems to make sense on the home-scale composting level. I have a mother's day tea at my daughters school in the morning but could be at your house place around 11. Is this ok??

I think I will be doing a intro to bokashi before we head over to Exotica for the second half of the day. But I will be doing several Bokashi classes in the coming months, because I agree... It does make sense.

Hey Amy, come when you can. we should still be at my house then. If you want to come after class I can show you more on how to setup a bokashi composting system.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
