Workday: Build a Front Yard Hugel Bed [Lemon Grove]

If you don't know what a Hugelbed is, this is your time to check it out. Basically, we are going to pile organic material, like tree branches, palm fonds and other stuff, cover with earth and go again. We will create a sun trap and make it high. This is a work day, not a class. Bring gloves, sun protection and your muscles. I will have water, tea, fruit and some snacks. BYOL (bring your own lunch :). Come for the whole day or a couple of hours - whatever works for you.

I probably have some beans and rice going, or maybe Quinua and we can collect from the garden for a salad….

Hey Marianne! This sounds lovely and it would be so nice to see you again :) Are you hoping for volunteers or will this be paid work? I would love to help, and you can hire me to be there from 9:30 to 5:30 for $20/hr :) I can also bring a trailer to haul anything, tools (shovels, pick axes, etc.) and of course my muscles :) I finally got a website up and running, check it out:

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
