The Harbor Run is back! It's a friendly, conversationally-paced run along a well-lit path. Usually, we get people with a variety of speeds - from 7 minute miles or so to 10+ minute miles. I'd strongly recommend wearing a headlamp and/or reflective clothing - just makes it a little safer.
The course is an out-and-back route from the west end of Harbor Island to Seaport Village, all along the beautiful San Diego Harbor (3.5 miles one way/total 7 miles). Most people run 5 miles, but some people run a bit more or a bit less.
The 1 mile marker is at the Harbor Drive intersection, the 2 mile right past Laurel Street, and the 3 mile past the Cruise Ship Terminal. For a map of the run, see: out-and-back route.
There are restrooms and water fountains available along the route just past Laurel Street and at Seaport Village - and a restroom at the start of the run.
We will meet in the public parking lot on your LEFT just before reaching the Hilton Hotel to start running promptly at 6:15pm. Just look for the group of runners standing on the grass. There is plenty of parking available in the parking lot or along Harbor Island Drive.
Afterwards, we'll do some guided stretching and some core exercises. Then we'll head to Tender Greens in Liberty Station for some quality grub. Please RSVP if you're coming (and post your approximate pace/intended distance), and happy running!
