This 3 mile run is a great way to start the weekend. (There is also a 2 mile version of the course.) 3 miles is a perfect distance for beginners. 3 miles is also great distiance for intermediate, and elite runners. Runner's World Magazine' s philosophy is that shorter runs, at a fast pace, improves half marathon- and marathon times (faster splits)! This is a scenic run through historic Balboa Park. This is your tour of Balboa Park, on the run! We run past many of the park's attractions. We may choose to do a core workout after the run. We will meet in front of the Hall of Champions. ( I think that it is safer to have a lighted parking lot next to the meetup area.) To get to the Hall of Champions, take Park Blvd. and turn on to Presidents' Way. The Hall of Champions is located at the corner of Presidents' Way and Pan American Road.
