Ted's 3 mile run (5K), on the Prado.

This 3 mile run is a great way to start the weekend. (There is also a 2 mile version of the course.)  3 miles is a perfect distance for beginners.  3 miles is also great distiance for intermediate, and elite runners.  Runner's World Magazine' s philosophy is that shorter runs, at a fast pace, improves half marathon- and marathon times (faster splits)!  This is a scenic run through historic Balboa Park. This is your tour of Balboa Park, on the run! We run past many of the park's attractions. We may choose to do a core workout after the run. We will meet in front of the Hall of Champions. ( I think that it is safer to have a lighted parking lot next to the meetup area.) To get to the Hall of Champions, take Park Blvd. and turn on to Presidents' Way. The Hall of Champions is located at the corner of Presidents' Way and Pan American Road.

Even though I wasn't here, I still ran the course. It was tough running on my own. It hit the 21 min mark just leaving the statue going down. Then, I turned on my race horsing speed and reached the pole at 27 min and 46 sec. I was running with some pain in my left knee and back of my right thigh. See you guys next week.

I was waiting to see who would respond with a yes to coming out. Ted, you doubled yourself up again. I will be out running the course early because I don't want to miss the SDSU Aztecs/Oklahoma first round NCAA basketball tournament game. It starts at 6:20 p.m.
