Ted's 3 mile run (5K), on the Prado.

This 3 mile run is a great way to start the weekend. (There is also a 2 mile version of the course.)  3 miles is a perfect distance for beginners.  3 miles is also great distiance for intermediate, and elite runners.  Runner's World Magazine' s philosophy is that shorter runs, at a fast pace, improves half marathon- and marathon times (faster splits)!  This is a scenic run through historic Balboa Park. This is your tour of Balboa Park, on the run! We run past many of the park's attractions. We may choose to do a core workout after the run. We will meet in front of the Hall of Champions. ( I think that it is safer to have a lighted parking lot next to the meetup area.) To get to the Hall of Champions, take Park Blvd. and turn on to Presidents' Way. The Hall of Champions is located at the corner of Presidents' Way and Pan American Road.

Great run, everybody!! It was awesome being out there breaking my new running shoes again and throwing frisbee afterward with John, Darren, and Donna & family. :)

It makes me happy to see all the dedicated runners show up on Friday night and I am rooting for group member Running Hulk as he runs in This weekend's La Jolla 1/2 Marathon.

Ted is now visiting Ireland. If I don't nod off into dreamland from the tireless energy I've put into working at the schools and security, I might be able to make. I have to pick up my race gear for the La Jolla 1/2 Marathon on my way over. We'll see how I'm feeling.

My Friend, I know you will do great in the La Jolla 1/2 because you have shown a consistent dedication every week to pace yourself and to complete all of your runs with strength. I still think you should do the Fri. Run in Balboa Park as it will be your last before the 28th and you can rest on Saturday.

Ted, are you back from Scotland yet? Good job to "Running Hulk" for leading last week.
