National Running Day - Road Runner Sports & Rock 'n' Roll

Join Road Runner Sports & Rock 'n' Roll Marathon to celebrate National Running Day! Every day or most days are 'running day' to a lot of us, but let's take this opportunity to show the world why our sport is the best.

If you ran Rock 'n' Roll yesterday, show up to shake out your legs for an easy recovery run and share your stories of glory and feedback with Chase, our local RnR Ambassador.

We will have some giveaways and raffle prizes from:
- Fuelbelt
- PowerBar
- A.P.X. Hydration
- LifeProof iPhone/iPad cases
- Road Runner Sports

Run Description: Hello, running friends. Welcome to the Road Runner Sports weekly run - a casual, conversational-paced run for all speeds and levels of experience. Garrett posts the run on Meetup. Contact him with any questions. Jerame, a Fit Expert in the store, host the run.

The run is up to 5 miles (although you can turn back early for a shorter distance) from the same starting point every week year round. We run out toward Sea World for the Summer Course and stick to the Mission Bay path for the Winter Course. Our usual turnout is somewhere between 35-50 during the warmer months and at least 15-20 during the darker months.

We occasionally have giveaways from the store and various vendors. We give away Frequent Runners Cards to first timers, and after 10 runs you'll get some running swag. Vendors also stop by throughout the year to let you test new shoes.

You're more than welcome to fire away with shoe, injury or any misc. questions. No commitment or registration of any kind.

We usually do a basic core workout after the run, so regardless of when you finish, hang around for a few minutes to chat and burn a few more calories .... And then put them right back on at the Offshore Tavern, a local bar and grill we sometimes visit after the run.

Directions: The Runners Restroom is right on the Mission Bay path and has a rack of race flyers and magazines. Head west on Clairemont Drive to the end and take a left on E. Mission Bay Drive. The parking lot for the Runners Restroom is just a hundred feet up the street on the right. We meet at the tree to the right of the restroom.

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
